There are a lot of bars, clubs and live music places all over Barcelona and it can be difficult to make a choice. Most clubs are empty before 2 am, but if you enter before 1 am sometimes its possible to enter for free or to pay half price.
On the Passeig de Maritim in the Barceloneta/Olympic Area are a lot of stylish bars and lounge clubs with terraces overlooking the sea, some offering dinner early in the evening and turning into dance clubs later on. Well known are: Catwalk, Shoko, Carpe diem lounge club, Opium mar and much more…..
The Pacha and the Otto Sutz are located in the upper part of Barcelona, but taxis are pretty cheap in Barcelona and the clubs are well worth a trip.
Other, more centrally located options are for example Karma on Plaza Reial in the Gothic quarter, Fellini Club on the Ramblas, Moog with the finest electronic music close to the Rambla, Apolo in the Raval area where you can enjoy also a lot of great live concerts and the Jamboree Jazz Club on the Plaza Reial with concerts jam sessions every monday.
A very trendy place is the OPIUM cinema
Calle Paris 193-197 Barcelona centre (Diagonal)

Restaurant, dance club, bar

Very often you will see them on the street to the beach or on the beach itself. Colourful, joyfull, sunny… you will enjoy they lively music … the GADJO band
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZyvrIppdBmA
Gadjo are daft about Gypsy melodies. They sing like lovesick fools, tooting and trilling the audience into a whirlwind of dance with their swing, ska and balkan rhythms and quirky songs about infatuated accordions, gold teeth, ilegal living and dodgy workmen.

Zero degree is the point of origin that´s thematic focus of the new dance show of the artists Akram Khan and Sidi Larbi Cherkaoui. They bring together their etnical and religious raices and draw on this meeting of culture in their work. By searching for the point zero they contrast polar opposites as birth/death, light/dark and chaos/order. Two excellent dance artists produce a thrilling dance dailogue full of different styles and an interesting interpretation of their origins. The difference in their work emerge from their different languages, the rigid formation of the technics of Khan and the extraordinary intuitive ability of Larbi. From 28th to 30th the dance show will be presented in the Mercat de Flors in Barcelona. More Infos: http://www.mercatflors.org/web3/mercatflors.php?p=ficha&id=148
